Checking Your ETA Status
After submitting your UK ETA application, it is natural to want to know where things stand. Whether you applied through TravelReady24 or another channel, here is how to track your application.
If You Applied Through TravelReady24
Tracking your application with us is straightforward:
- Check your email for the confirmation message sent immediately after submission
- Use the reference number in that email to check your status on our platform
- You will receive email updates at every stage of the process
- If you selected express or rush processing, updates will be more frequent
Understanding Status Updates
Here is what each status means:
- Submitted: Your application has been received and is in the queue
- Under Review: Your details are being verified and processed
- Processing with Authorities: Your application has been forwarded to UK immigration for approval
- Approved: Your ETA has been granted and is linked to your passport
- Action Required: Additional information or documents are needed from you
- Denied: Your application was not approved. A reason will be provided
What If Your Status Says "Action Required"?
This means the processing team needs something from you. Common reasons include:
- A passport photo that does not meet requirements
- Information that does not match your passport
- Additional documentation to support your application
Respond as quickly as possible to avoid delays. Check your email (including spam folders) for specific instructions on what is needed.
What If Processing Takes Longer Than Expected?
Standard processing takes up to 72 hours, but delays can occur during peak travel periods or if additional security checks are required. If your application has been pending for longer than the expected timeframe:
- Check your email for any requests you may have missed
- Do not submit a duplicate application โ this will cause further delays
- Contact our support team with your reference number for an update
Can You Travel While Your ETA Is Pending?
No. You must have an approved ETA before boarding your flight to the UK. Airlines check your ETA status at check-in, and you will not be allowed to board without confirmation of approval. This is why we always recommend applying well in advance of your travel date.
What to Do After Approval
Once your ETA is approved:
- Save your approval confirmation email
- Note your ETA reference number and keep it accessible
- Your ETA is electronically linked to your passport โ there is nothing to print
- The ETA is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first
